I'm Courtney and the founder of A Helping Hand HR. I grew up in Virginia Beach and graduated in May 2005 from Radford University with a bachelor’s in criminal justice and psychology. I've been the restaurant manager of the Ocean View Fishing Pier in Norfolk for three seasons and love it! In November 2007, I married my husband Michael, a Portsmouth Firefighter. I have the greatest niece and nephew, Madyson Sellers and Ronnie Boone III. I am very family oriented and promise to show you and your family the same love and care I show my own.

My name is Katie, and I was born and raised in Norfolk. I am a 21-year-old senior at Old Dominion University and will graduate this summer with a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies. In the fall, I will enter ODU’s master’s program to begin working toward a degree in early childhood education (PreK-3). I am an enthusiastic person with a great work ethic. Hi everyone! My name is Candice Anderson and I am currently assisting Courtney with all of her day to day aspects of the business. Before joining A Helping Hand HR I was a client. I understand the urgency for a great sitter, nanny or busy bee...I had mine for 9 months and still going strong :) I have 3 little boys and have worked as a Childcare Director for nearly 10 years. I look forward to getting to know all of you!!

Jesika Y.

My name is Jesika, and I am a sophomore at Hampton University's School of Nursing. After I receive my BSN-RN, I plan to work in PICU at The Children’s Hospital of the King's Daughter's while pursuing my master’s at Old Dominion University. I am also an accredited massage therapist from Fuller School of Massage with five years of experience. For the past five years, I have worked wherever I have been needed, which included pet sitting, house sitting, cleaning houses, and catering parties. I live in Ocean View and am known as the caregiver in the neighborhood. I’ve worked for Courtney Davis as well as the Boone Family this summer at the Pier, and I look forward to continuing to work with them in the future!

Hi! I'm Sarah, I've lived in Virginia Beach, VA since I was 2. I am attending TCC for college. I love working with children. I have been working with kids from all age ranges for several years, and I hope to be able to lend a hand helping hand to yours!

Greetings! My name is Stacie. I was born and raised in Worcester County, Massachusetts. My husband and I moved to Norfolk in 2008. I have an Associates Degree in Accounting from Hesser College in Manchester, NH. I’m also a licensed Cosmetologist graduating from Paul Mitchell the School in Cranston, RI. I have a large family with lots of nieces and nephews that I adore; ranging in ages from newborn to 18 years old. I have been around children my whole life and love watching them grow and develop. I enjoy cleaning, cooking & spending quality time with family and friends. If you need a kind-hearted person to take care of your children, pets or someone to just get the chores & errands done for you; you can count on me!

Hi My name is Amanda! I was born and raised in southern Indiana and then moved to Tennessee to pursue my Bachelor's degree in Anthropology. I recently graduated with my BA and have moved into the Chesapeake area. Currently I aspire to join one of the wonderful police departments in the Hampton area and also going back to school eventually to get my Master's in Criminal Justice. I love helping people out with whatever needs to be done, whether it be errands to run or a task around the house. I love being around children and just having a good time. I am especially fond of outdoor activities. I look forward to helping you out and meeting you and your family.

Virginia Beach is my home town, born and raised! I grew up on a local down town Pungo horse farm and I am currently fulfilling my dream of being a professional trainer for horses, and the kids that love to ride them. I run a small disabled riding program through our farm which is the best reward in this business. My passion in life is definitely working with children and animals. I also hope to attend college in the fall to become a large animal veterinarian.

I was born in Virginia Beach and have lived here all of my life. I am a graduate of Kellam High School, and my plan for the future is to finish my nursing school (LPN).
